The downstream concentration was monitored until breakthrough occurred. The effect of concentration on breakthrough time conformed to absorption theory. Service life increased at low humidities and decreased at high humidi ties. Organic vapour respirator cartridges have a service life of 20min at vinyl chloride concentration below 50ppm.
