INTER - OFFICE CORRESPONDENCE Et h y l Ga s o l in e Co r p o r a t io n Ch r y s u j r Bu il d in g -105 Le x in g t o n Av e n u e Ne w Yo k k June 7, 1937 Dr* Robert A Kehoe My dear Bobt With further reference to your letter of May 24th,, I enclose copy of Report CR-20 in v/hich there are a number of analytical data giving the amounts of lead in crankcase oil* It may be pointed out that soluble lead as shown in these analyses does not necessarily mean alkyl-lead compounds as there are a number of lead salts of organic acids soluble in oil Our laboratory reports no information on the use of leaded gasoline in engines located in mines* Of course, many stationary engines are run on leaded gasoline in laboratories and there is certainly no reason to expect any trouble from this source provided the exhaust gases are properly piped
