October 28, 1936 Dr* H* A* Boldero 68 wimpolo street London, W* 1 England - ^ Deer Dr, Boldero* * 1 am writing to you at this time to acquaint you with the foot that wo have had several rather unfortunate Incidents in connection with the cleaning of tanks used for mixing and ataring leaded gasoline, these Incidents having recently culminated In three fatal poisonings among a group of seven work men who cleaned a storage tank (which had also been used ' for mixing) without any precautionary measures# The circumstances connected with this situation Justify a very thorough-going investigation of this problem and we are undertaking such an investigation which will probably take several months to complete In the mean time i am not in position to make recommendations which go beyond those Which we have already mad with relation to this procedure.
