1. Ceneral discussion of design parameters for Plastisol units and results of proliminary nitrogen stripping trials,
2, Process Engineering will provide typical product mixes for the two Plastisol plants.
3. As vjork on nitrogen stripping progresses. Process Engineering Will develop information, noted on all.ached form, necessary Tor fina'l design of the carbon units.
4. Typical batch sizes are 8700 lbs. for "A" plant and 10750 lbs. Tor
"B" plant, rather than 10,000 lbs. and 12,000 lbs. used in preliminary
calculations.
;
5, Process Engineering will pursue with plant personnel possibility of pumping out Plastisol strippers in'lieu of transfer using nitrogen. Net result would be to eliminate "blow-thru" at end of transfer^
6, General discussion of results and problems associated with "hot; jacket" technique prior to opening of Ho and Co reactors. Possibility pf using a nitrogen purge to reduce VCM concentration prior to opening. If decision is reached to use nitrogen purge, additional carbon' units will probably be required because of low VCM concentration in this stream. No work in this area by project group pending additional plant tests.
