Any time. Just ask. Also I'd be very interested in helping with your next batch of Bridgers, and working informally with the current crop. Thanks, Scott Scott J. I think you would enjoy meeting a couple of these sharp youngsters. By the way, especially given that new title of yours... I would also like to mention that I'm still finalizing our Bridges monthly seminars program, and one proposed seminar would involve a panel of alums (across a few generations) holding down in responsible U.S. govt. positions in the "social impact sector" you qualify. Despite the currently "frozen" situation re: most civil service jobs, I think the Bridgers could get a lot of value from such a seminar. This would be on a Thursday evening in March, April, or May. Hope you might be interest in doing this back to you soon. FYI, I'm a retired career civil servant who spent 36 years in federal service, mostly in the SES in policy/ budget/ management positions at the US Department of Education. Enjoyed it all immensely. Congrats to you for hanging in there. All transitions are challenging, of course, but this one seems a lot more so. Keep good notes. : ) All best, Bob Robert H. The good news is we had a large crop of mentor volunteers with super career experiences; and at this point I've assigned mentors to all of our "Bridgers" class of 2017 cohort (19 of them!). Three have environment related career ambitions. We simply had more excellent mentor volunteers with solid career backgrounds in that area than we have mentees. I'm wondering now whether it would be OK if I shared your email address and career background with those three environment focused participants (who have primary mentors assigned)? I expect some may wish to connect with you on an informal basis such as having coffee or a phone chat about your experiences at some point. You could be a "secondary" mentor, so to speak. Your call, of course. Second, I hope I might check with you next spring regarding possibly matching you up with one of next year's DCS Bridgers. Love to hear back from you on both of those questions. Thanks again for your interest in this super program. Best regards, Bob Davidson '67 Robert H.
