The inspection began at 3:42 P.M. on July 6, 2023, and concluded at 10:30 A.M. on July 7, 2023. Prior to the inspection, the last measurable rainfall recorded at the St. Louis Downtown Airport (KCPS) in St. Clair County occurred on July 2 (0.03"). This trip report summarizes the inspection observations. No SSO discharges were observed, and no photographs were taken during the inspection. On July 6, EPA inspectors observed conditions at several lift stations in the central and eastern portions of Cahokia Heights, including lift stations at Bluff and 82nd St., Bellevue Ave., Lady of Snows lift station, and Lauralee and Violet Dr. No SSO discharges were observed. Inspectors also observed conditions at known SSO locations on 80th and 82nd streets. Inspectors did not observe SSO discharges and ditches in the area were dry. Inspection activities on July 6 concluded at 4:04 PM. On July 7, EPA inspectors observed conditions at several lift stations in the central portion of Cahokia Heights, including lift stations at Pocket Road and Missouri Ave., Golden and Dorsey St., Jackson and Pocket Rd., Missouri and Rt. 13 (Lady of Snows lift station), Old Missouri Ave. (newly renovated), and Lauralee and Violet Dr. No SSO discharges were observed. Inspectors also observed conditions at known SSO locations on 80th and 82nd streets. Inspectors did not observe SSO discharges and ditches in the area remained dry.
