Plasticizer ran 4 days averaging 67 M pounds per day. Quality was hampered by problems of high color in all plasticizers produced during the first two days of the week. The high color was found to be caused by high color phthalic anhydride received from Stepan Chemical. Stepan has indicated that at least two shipments to Conoco had been contaminated by a hot oil system leak. A complaint will be issued to Stepan as soon as possible.
