Michelle: I hope all is well. I have the pleasure of forwarding the attached invitation to Administrator Pruitt to address the senior executives of the Glass Packaging Institute--which represents the domestic glass industry, including three glass plants in Oklahoma--sometime convenient to him between 8 am and 9:30 am on Wednesday May 3 at the Monocle on the Senate side of the Hill. I presume Administrator Pruitt is well familiar with the Oklahoma glass industry (plants in Muskogee, Sapulpa and Henryetta alone employ 1,200 Oklahomans) and can well appreciate that the entire glass industry is very interested in a range of important initiatives EPA is now undertaking that are of material importance to America's glass manufacturers. I note that Senator Inhofe has agreed to address the GPI execs from 8 am to 8:15 am that morning; if the Administrator would like to dovetail with Senator Inhofe's comments, perhaps at 8:15 to

8:30 or so, that would be marvelous, but GPI obviously would want to accommodate the Administrator at any time that would be convenient for his schedule.
If I can be of assistance, please just let me know. As indicated in the attached formal letter of invitation from GPI President Lynn Bragg, arrangements can be made through Bryan Vickers at 703-403-2882 (bvickers@pacellp.com).
Great thanks!

The Honorable Scott Pruitt Administrator United States Environmental Protection Agency 1200 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington, DC 20004
Dear Administrator Pruitt:
On behalf of the Glass Packaging Institute (GPI), I am happy to inform you that leadership from the glass container industry will be in town on Wednesday, May 3rd, for our Spring Membership Meeting. Glass container industry executives will be on Capitol Hill to discuss pending manufacturing, environment and energy related issues.
The glass container industry operates 45 glass bottle and jar manufacturing plants across the country, directly employing a workforce of 18,000 people. Oklahoma is home to glass container plants in Muskogee, Sapulpa and Henryetta, employing 1,200 residents of Oklahoma and producing millions of beer bottles every day.
CEOs, Presidents, and other senior executives representing North America and Oklahoma's glass container plants will be at the Spring Meeting. The glass company leadership will be joined by 35 other executives from glass container plant companies and our supplier operations. We would anticipate an audience of 40 persons at the meeting.
GPI member companies are concerned with many existing regulations under review at the EPA, including the Clean Power Plan, the Waters of the US rule, and other rules relating to broader emissions and permitting requirements. GPI and our members are currently engaged with EPA station recycling related issues, as recycled glass is a critically important, energy-saving manufacturing input at our members' plants.
Given your leadership on environmental and energy related issues, as well as your agency's concern with regulations impacting American manufacturing operations, our members invite you to share your insights and brief remarks at our breakfast meeting at the Monocle Restaurant (107 D St NE, Washington, DC), anytime you may be available between 8:00 and 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 3-, I would note that Senator Inhofe has agreed to address the GPI members between 8 and 8:15 amthat morning.
If your schedule would permit your participation on the morning of Wednesday May 3, please have your staff contact Bryan Vickers, bvickers@pacellp.com. 703-403-2882.
Thank you for your consideration of our request.
Sincerely,
Lynn M. Bragg President
