I work in the research department at the CBS Evening News - I'm hoping someone can give me some guidance regarding superfimd sites in Texas. I see in the EPA's response to the Associated Press story from this weekend that there are "41 Superfimd sites - 28 of those sites show no damage, and 13 have experienced flooding." Can we confirm that those numbers still hold? And have the names of the 13 locations that experienced flooding been released yet? Also, I was looking at the list of recorded superfund sites on the EPA website, and the total for Texas was much higher - 66 sites in total. Do 23 of those sites no longer exist? Any guidance with this would be incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance for your help with this, and have a wonderful holiday. Best, Ian Flickinger Research Department, CBS Evening News I Ex. 6 !
