ETHYL CO Ma\I:|A(T1III August TO: PERMANENT MEMBERS OF THE VINYL CHLORIDE SAFETY ASSOCIATION The time for the next Vinyl Chloride Safety Association meeting is fast approaching. The attached agenda reflects the membership response to the questionaire sent earlier and should provide a very interesting, informative and technically valuable meeting. There is concern that all who plan to attend have not made reservations and may have difficulty making last minute arrangements. The meeting will be held Sept. 24 and 25 at the Holiday Inn at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. You should plan to arrive Wednesday, Sept.23. Hotel reservations are being handled by Professional Travel Planners, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio. Please contact Virginia Beyer at 216 861-4770 for reservations. A reminder - a deposit covering the cost of the first nights room is required by Aug. 19, 1981 for final room confirmation. Please send deposit to Professional Travel Planners as soon as possible if you have not already done so. To reduce the early morning registration rush a pre registration time will be available on the evening before the meeting from 6-7 p.m., Sept. 23, 1981. You will recall that Glen Schaaf presented a paper at our last meeting comparing "PVC relief area size". Since the meeting more data has been received and the new information is included in the attached table. Note the information is based on total area available for relief i.e. no correction is made for a re duction of area when a relief valve is included. As permanent representative, please distribute copies of the agenda to all who plan to attend the meeting. I look forward to seeing you at Hilton Head in September.
