Re: Memice v. PPG Indusfries, et al.
Dear Peter:
Enclosed please find a copy of a letter of January 19, 1987 from plaintiff's counsel, Mr. Princiotto, together with the expert report of Richard L. Ruth, Ph.D on the subject of plaintiff's economic loss from the death of her husband.
Please note that Dr. Ruth has opined that the present value of the plaintiff's total economic loss is $519,597. He arrived at this figure by calculating the replacement value of the household services ($270,350) and society services ($245,502) provided by the decedent, plus the loss of his pension ($3,745).
The defense counsel will address this report at
our next meeting and will select an economic expert to counter
Dr. Ruth.
In the meantime, please call if you have any
questions concerning the report.
Sincerely,
RLH:j s Enclosure
