8EHQ-06-16446 Supplemental Submission
This letter is submitted for your information and it supplements the above-identified 8EHQ submission. Specifically, provided with this letter is an interim final report titled as follows:
Fayetteville PFOA, Exposure Assessment Report, Final Report [DuPont-22464] Report of Exposure Assessment of Measured Serum Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) Anion in the
Manufacture of Ammonium Perfluorooctanoate (APFO) at Fayetteville, NC
The study period covered is from process start-up through December 31, 2005. The study itself is estimated to be completed by the end of 2009. The serum biomonitoring data contained in this report were previously submitted to the Agency (see DuPont submission dated March 27, 2006 and assigned 8EHQ-06-16446).
The major objective of this study is to measure worker exposure by sampling airborne levels of PFOA and monitoring serum levels of PFOA anion in manufacturing, to provide supporting data to management and workers in the APFO areas, to evaluate the effectiveness of the industrial hygiene controls, and to effect changes in those controls as appropriate. It is not a study of the health status of the participants.
Sincerely,
1 -----
