EPA Changes for New Coal Plant NSPS
We previously notified you that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is seeking comment on, and will hold a public hearing on, its proposed NSPS for Greenhouse Gas Emissions from New, Modified, and Reconstructed Electric Generatin2 Units. This proposed regulation would replace the prior administration's regulation for greenhouse gas emissions applying to new, modified, and reconstructed coal power plants.
EPA had changed the date of the public hearing to January 30, 2019. Due to the government shutdown, that bearing was postponed. With the government reopening, EPA will provide at least two weeks advance notice with details related to a new hearing date.
The original date to submit comments to EPA was February 19, 2019. We await additional information regarding any changes to that date as well.
