Mr. Amidon, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt will be in Washington on April 1, and would like to arrange a meeting with Administrator Zeldin if possible. The Governor would like to visit about the Biden Administration's action days before leaving office significantly altering Oklahoma's regulatory status under SAFETEA.
I am attaching a letter Governor Stitt sent to the previous EPA Administrator in December regarding this issue, as well as the letter the State received from EPA on January 13, notifying us of the Agency's decision.
If Mr. Zeldin is available that day for a meeting with Governor Stitt, the Governor will be joined by Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and Environment, Jeff Starling, our attorney in this matter, Matt Leopold, and a couple members of the Governor's staff, including me.
I have copied Sarah Pearman from our office who can assist with scheduling.
