The Steamboat Institute started from humble beginnings in 2008 with a lofty vision of inspiring Americans to partake in the active defense of liberty, and to become more involved in the political process.
With the help of dedicated donors and friends, we launched our flagship Freedom Conference in 2009 to inspire Americans by bringing in our nation's leaders in conservative thought and policy, addressing timely issues and providing unique networking opportunities with like- minded peers.
This past weekend, we saw our most successful Freedom Conference yet, and I'm excited you were able to participate! The 10th Annual Freedom Conference tackled some of America's most important issues today, such as health care, free speech, "safe schools," malfeasance at the FBI, and more.
The film screenings and premieres brought alive the conservative values you and I share and treasure. Our impact wasn't limited to in-person attendance. CNN.com live-streamed Interior Secretary Zinke's remarks, and C-SPAN recorded several of Saturday's sessions, allowing millions of viewers across the nation to see our work in action in the coming weeks and months.
With your support, The Steamboat Institute will continue to promote civilized debate and discussion on these issues - and more - over the coming year through our exceptional events as well as our leveraged opportunities for our next generation of leaders.
Our work has equipped thousands of liberty-minded Americans to own their beliefs and enter the political fray, and I'm glad you were able to witness your impact in action. We hope we can count on your continued support.
