Koblitz, Marcus Mon, 17 Feb 2025 15:40:14 +0000 Coccodrilli, Curt [EXTERNAL] Meeting Request: bp America, March 3-4, Washington, DC
Good Morning Mr. Cocodrilli,
I am reaching out to request a meeting on behalf of bp America in early March. Relevant to you in your new role at the Department of Energy, bp is a grant recipient or sub-recipient on a few projects that are currently underway. With this in mind, we would like to meet with you to discuss the importance of these programs to bp and their alignment with Sec. Wright's priorities for the DOE. Of specific note, bp is a sub-recipient to the Midwest Alliance for Clean Hydrogen (MachH2), a regional clean hydrogen hub awardee. We'd be happy to give you a brief overview of our project under the greater umbrella of the hub near the Whiting Refinery in Indiana.
Preferred times to meet: Monday, March 3, 12pm - 1pm Tuesday, March 4, 9a-3p
On these days, a member of our hydrogen and CCS business team will be in DC. If you are not available on these days, I would be happy to schedule a meeting at another time.
In the US, bp employs more than 30,000 people and supports more than 300,000 jobs. Since 2005, bp has invested more than $150 billion in the US. We have a bigger footprint here than anywhere else in the world, and we're proud to be a trusted partner for secure, affordable and reliable energy. bp's Whiting Refinery has been a cornerstone of northwest Indiana's economy and is able to process around 440,000 barrels of crude oil daily. It is the largest refinery in the Midwest and bp's largest in the world producing 10 million gallons of gasoline, 4 million gallons of diesel and 2 million gallons of jet fuel daily, as well as 7% of all US asphalt.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request. I look forward to hearing back from you, Marcus

Cummings, GRANT Fri, 28 Feb 2025 17:19:35 +0000 Fitzsimmons, Alexander Vlasaty, Andrew [EXTERNAL) bp's New Strategy Announcement
Hi Alex-
Appreciate your help facilitating the DOE Secretary meeting at CERA. Let me know if you need anything more from the bp team to get a date and time on the books.
Additionally, I wanted to share some news about an important step bp has taken with regard to our strategy.
This week, bp introduced our fundamental reset strategy strengthening bp and building our resilience to deliver secure, affordable and reliable energy in the US.
Our reset strategy will see us: c Growing our upstream oil and gas business -- increasing investment by around 20% to strengthen our portfolio and grow oil and gas production while always maintaining strong and safe operations. Focusing our downstream business -- reshaping our portfolio to focus on markets, brands and businesses where we have advantaged and integrated positions. c And we will invest with discipline in the transition, making focused investments in biogas, biofuels and EV charging; adopting innovative, capital-light partnerships in renewables; and focusing investment in hydrogen and carbon capture, to help decarbonize our operations and position us for growth in the next decade.
Details on our strategy update are available here. Let's plan to grab a coffee soon!

Hi Alex - hope all is well and you are settling into your new role - I can't imagine how busy you must be!
I wanted to let you know that Murray Auchincloss, bp's CEO, will be attending CERA Week on March 10-13 in Houston. The organizers have mentioned that Secretary Wright might also be attending, and Murray is very interested in the possibility of meeting with him to discuss BP's investment in the US - especially our planned growth in the Gulf of America.
To help facilitate this, I am sharing Murray's current availability, but please note that we are flexible and would move things around to accommodate the Secretary's bust schedule.
Murray's availability: Monday, 10 March slots: 11:00 -11:45 14:00 - 14:45 17:00 - 17:45

Ellis, Joe Mon, 7 Apr 2025 17:26:04 +0000 Fitzsimmons, Alexander [EXTERNAL] Invitations for Secretary Wright
Hi, Alex. I hope you're doing well.
Our CEO would like to request a meeting with Secretary Wright and also invite the Secretary to an event.
We want to be sure we know how best to get those items into consideration.
In addition to copying you, is there a scheduler or other email address to which we should send the request and invitation?
Much appreciation for your help!
Joe Ellis BP America
