I wanted to follow-up on earlier discussion. I am reaching out on behalf of the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG Coalition),the trade association for the U.S.RNG industry. RNG constitutes more than 95% of the fuel that is used to meet the Renewable Fuel Standard's(RFS)cellulosic biofuel requirement.
On Thursday,April 23,2020,a group of CEOs and senior executives from the RNG industry will be in Washington, DC. These industry leaders would appreciate the opportunity to meet with Administrator Wheeler about the D3/cellulosic portion of the RFS program. The industry appreciates the concrete steps EPA has taken to grow the cellulosic program and in turn,spur the rapid development of the U.S.RNG industry(attached is the statement issued by the RNG Coalition on the 2020 RVO). We would welcome the opportunity to visit with the Administrator about constructive ways to build on this progress in a manner consistent with the underlying policy objectives of the RFS program.
