Crystal,
On background:
If you get your drinking water from a public water system you can contact your local water supplier and ask for a copy of your Consumer Confidence Report also known as an Annual Water Quality Report. This report lists what regulated chemicals, microbes and bacteria may be in your drinking water and whether the system meets state and EPA drinking water standards. Private well owners should test their wells regularly. More information is here.

How much does it cost to have water quality tested through the EPA, including tests for bacteria, and what is the process for that? No firm deadline.

Thanks, Enesta
I'm a reporter in Campbell County, Tennessee, jelllto, IN , had some serious issues with water iast week and the whole town was without water for a while. While covering that story, i received a number of emails stating that they believe the drinking water is not safe to drink, and that a lot of people have similar stomach issues. Can the EPA do a test?
