SUBJECT:
VINYL CHLORIDE SAFETY ASSOCIATION MEETING January 31 - February 1, 1973 Atlanta, Georgia
BOR 0057X6
Gentlemen:
Attached Is a list of those who have advised that they plan to attend the Vinyl Chloride Safety Association meeting In Atlanta. There is a total of fifty-seven.
There has been some confusion at the Regency Hyatt about sleeping room reservations. Mr. Richard Laurens, Reservations Manager, said this apparently resulted because the block of rooms was reserved under the name of Ethyl Vinyl Chloride Safety Association. For your difficulties I apologize. Mr. Laurens further advised that all persons on the attached list have been assigned sleeping rooms for January 30 and 31 and for those who so requested, February 1. I do not have this in writing at this time so if you need further confirmation you should contact the hotel directly. Rooms are reserved on a guaranteed basis to be sure late arrivals still have rooms. If your people don't show, your company will be billed unless the reservation has been cancelled ahead of time.
An opaque projector, a slide projector, a movie projector, and a chalk board will be available for presentation of subject matter. If other aids are needed let me know after the business meeting Wednesday morning. The meeting Wednesday will be in the Tudor Room.
Costs for the luncheons, facilities, etc. will be distributed among those attending as in the past. It is estimated these will be on the order of $25.00 per person.
One subject has been added to the agenda. Mr. Arnold Allemang of Dow Chemical will present information on sampling chlorinated hydrocarbons for industrial hygiene as related to OSHA - a timely subject.
Mr. George Kuzma of Lucidol has advised that they will have qualified representatives available at the Regency Hyatt the evening of January 31 to answer questions concerning initiator safety.
Sincerely,
HGS tmcw 1-22-73
