You can attribute the following to Ryan Jackson, EPA Chief of Staff:
"No one was moved from the security detail for any incident like this."
"Agents are rotated to fit the needs of the Agency, whether it is for investigations or security personnel detail. Protective Security Detail (PSD) also supports criminal environmental investigative work in Criminal Investigation Division (CID). For example, recently two PSD agents supported CID on a search warrant."
"We don't comment on personnel matters."

Hi I wanted to follow up on the below question from yesterday - Why the agent in question was taken off the detail. This piece is slated to run on tonight's Evening News.
Separately, I'm hoping to confirm/get more information on a story from Friday's Greenwire, saying that most CiD investigators are back on their investigations after supporting the administrator's detail.
Thanks, Julianna

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Why was the agent taken off the detail, then?
Thanks

You can cite this to an agency spokesperson or to myself.
"We have no knowledge of anyone being removed from the Detail for not using lights and sirens and with regards to the use of lights and sirens; the security Detail for the past 15 years has used them in very limited fashion, i.e. to avoid possible compromise of the vehicle in a flow of traffic. This is a typical practice amongst the protective community."

Hi Liz - Hope you had a nice weekend.
I'm hoping to get comment for a story that deals w/ Administrator Pruitt's security detail. I understand that in March, the Administrator was on his way to a speech in Washington and was running late. He asked to use sirens to get through traffic and was told no by the lead agent because it goes against policies and procedures. A couple of weeks later that agent was taken off the detail.
My questions are: Why was that agent taken off the administrator's detail? Does the Administrator currently use his sirens to get through traffic?
Thank you, Julianna
