Alex Dominguez suggested I touch base with you. I am reaching out on behalf of the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG Coalition), which is the trade association for the RNG industry. The RNG industry takes untreated biogas captured from landfills, wastewater facilities and anaerobic digesters and refines it to natural gas pipeline quality standards. RNG can be blended with or used as a substitute for geologic natural gas. It is fungible in existing infrastructure and can be used to fuel natural gas vehicles. RNG now constitutes more than 95% of the fuel used to meet the Renewable Fuel Standard's (RFS) cellulosic biofuel requirement. It is my understanding that Administrator Wheeler is going to be in Indianapolis, IN on Wednesday, October 9 to visit a water infrastructure project. Kinetrex Energy, who is an RNG Coalition member, is currently building an RNG facility in close proximity to the water infrastructure site the Administrator is visiting on the 9th. For your reference, I have attached a powerpoint presentation that provides additional information about the project. Kinetrex and their partners EDL Energy and South Side Landfill would welcome the opportunity to host Administrator Wheeler at their RNG project while he is in Indianapolis on October 9th. Recognizing that the Administrator is on a tight schedule, the Kinetrex team can be flexible both in terms of timing and format to accommodate the Administrator's availability. Sincere thanks in advance for the consideration. Please let me know if the Administrator's schedule can accommodate this invitation, and I will arrange an introduction to Kinetrex's team to discuss further and answer any questions you may have.
