I am writing to invite you to speak at the Center for Energy Workforce Development's (CEWD) 2025 Workforce Development Summit taking place November 18-20, at the Hilton Washington, DC, at the Wharf. The event will attract several hundred energy leaders and practitioners responsible for ensuring the industry is people-ready for historic hiring demands to support America's Energy Dominance -- those charged with attracting, training, and retaining a highly skilled energy workforce. As we look at the daunting task before the sector, our attendees would benefit from learning about the Department's workforce development strategies, which we know to be important to you and the administration.
CEWD serves as a national intermediary uniting the industry's ecosystem for sector strategies around workforce development. We work with more than 140 energy employers, primarily utilities and contractors, and we serve as the workforce development arm for 12 of the industry's policy-oriented organizations including the American Petroleum Institute, Edison Electric Institute, Nuclear Energy Institute, EPRI, National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, American Public Power Association, American Gas Association, and others. We are also fortunate to have the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers on our Board of Directors.
We would be grateful to have you address those who serve on the front lines of ensuring we have the workforce to engineer, build, operate, maintain, protect, and innovate within the energy ecosystem. Ideally, we would hope to have your engagement on November 18 when the industry's most senior leaders will be in attendance, but your message delivery would be welcome at any point during the conference. I would be happy to talk with your team about scheduling and potential messaging.
