Happy Friday,
I hope you and your family are all staying safe and sane during these unprecedented times, and if possible, I hope you are getting outside to enjoy the outdoors safely.
I wanted to pass along an op-ed that was placed today from Safari Club International CEO Laird Hamberlin highlighting the possible negative impacts of COVID-19 on state based conservation and conservation funding. In the op-ed, Laird calls on Congress to work together on the next COVID-19 relief package with the United States Fish & Wildlife Service to waive the 25% match requirement for state agencies to receive Pittman-Robertson funds for a predetermined amount of time.
Now more than ever, we need to work together to ensure that our natural resources aren't negatively impacted during this pandemic, and that state fish and wildlife agencies can continue to do the good work they do all across the country.
