Process Description:
The facility is best described as a campus with multiple building participating in various parts of Caterpillar's worldwide business operations. Operations listed below are limited to those relevant to the Clean Air Act (CAA):
Building KK - transmission assembly, includes some heat treatment and painting operations Building SS - bulldozer or "track-type tracker" assembly Building LL - metalworking associated with metal wheels for tractor tracks, includes welding,
grinding, and painting operations Buildings GG and BB - tractor undercarriage work including heat treatment and track assembly Building FA - solvent still, reclaims solvent from onsite paint lines

EPA Tour of the Facility: Yes
Data Collected and Observations:
Mr. Hacke provided a tour of the campus to EPA. Operations relevant to the CAA and the generation of emissions were not in operation during the plant tour. EPA observed a recently installed Dip Tank system.
