ATTACHED FOR YOUR APPROVAL IS AN ESTIMATE FOR $263,100 TO REPAIR THE INSULATION ON THE ABOVE SUBJECT TANKS. TANK 71115'O.D.X 31'TALL ASPHALT SERVICE. TANKS 52,53 & 55-118'O.D.x 42'TALL- COKER FEED SERVICE, PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TYPE OF REPAIR IS NOT GUARANTEED TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE INSULATION ON 71, 52 & 55 TANKS.THESE TANKS HAVE BEEN INSULATED WITH POLY ISOSANURATE INSULATION PANELS. THE PANELS SHRUNK AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO BECAUSE OF THE TEMPERATURE SERVICE. PROVISIONS WILL BE MADE TO TIGHTEN THE PANEL CLAMPING BANDS AS NEEDED. THE REPAIRS ARE GOING TO BE DONE FOR PERSONNEL PROTECTION. TANK 53 HAS FIBERGLASS INSULATION AND IS REPAIRABLE; IT MUST BE NOTED THAT 55 TANK FIRE WALL AREA MUST BE CLEANED OF ASPHALT SPILLS BEFORE SCAFFOLD CAN BE ERECTED.
THE PURPOSE OF THESE REPAIRS IS TO PROTECT PERSONNEL WORKING IN THE AREA OF SUBJECT TANKS FROM THE DANGER OF FALLING 47 8SHEETS OF METAL.
