October 3, 2018 Dear Leila, America runs on natural gas, today more than ever. Natural gas is the nation's leading source of
reliable energy has made a difference for countless schools, hospitals and businesses -- saving money and, in many cases, saving local jobs.
The industry is committed to keeping our infrastructure and facilities safe, and that includes a major focus on protection against cyber threats. By investing more than $2 billion in people and technology, natural gas producers and shippers are keeping America's energy infrastructure safe and operating reliably.
We do that through:
I individual company cybersecurity programs that are aligned with a cybersecurity framework
established by the federal government's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NSIT), a framework used by other industries and sectors.
Membership in the Oil and Natural Gas Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ONG-ISAC).
More than 50 natural gas and o l companies - including a number of the nation's largest natural gas pipeline operators - share cyberthreat intelligence with each other through the ONG-ISAC.
Adherence with state and federal government regulations/guidance and increased reporting.
Delivering cleaner, more reliable energy while working to keep those resources safe from cyber threats. The natural gas industry is doing its part.

Learn more about the consumer headaches associated with higher ethanol blends.
