Subject: From Mia at the NY Times/Puerto Rico beaches
Hi, Elias! it's been a while since we last talked. I left the Times in December but I'm still a contributing writer and right now I'm on deadline for a story in which I need to mention what the state of PR beaches is after the hurricane. Can you call me at! Ex. 6 jthis morning?
Specifically, I need to know what the EPA says about the safety of beaches for use by bathers, given the contamination issues everyone has read about. Just need to throw in a sentence about any advice for the general public about beach use in PR right now and whether it applies to all beaches or just to some. (Particularly interested in popular ones like Condado, Escambron, Isla Verde, Luquillo, Vieques and Culebra) Thanks and hope you're well. Mia
