The confusion Sierra Club v. Dept of Energy, 4:25-cv-5027 SC_EVERSPLIT0021524 at the beginning of the year created uncertainty for us and we paused some activities until we had clarity on the reimbursement process. During that meeting, I mentioned that we would likely need a No Cost Time Extension (NCTE) to mitigate the pause. Since reimbursements have resumed, we have restarted those activities. However, these activities will not be completed before the end of Budget Period 1 (BP1), April 30th, 2025. It is clear now that a NCTE is needed. We are keen to fulfill our obligations under the grant and help deliver the CarbonSAFE programmatic goals. Therefore, we would are now asking for a NCTE to BPI. Can you please let me know if there is a process to make a formal request, or if this email is sufficient to initiate the request for consideration? In addition, it would be helpful to know what the timeframe may be to receive a decision on this request. Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide or anything more I can do to advance this request. I would be happy to discuss further at your convenience if helpful.
