HEART OF THE MARTIN-DECKER LOAD CELL is the exclusive, patented diaphragm sensing element. The diaphragm has a U-shaped annulus held in place by the load cell housing. When the diaphragm makes a stroke, the unsupported portion of this flexible, u-shaped outer-edge moves hydraulically with a gentle, rolling motion free from stretch or friction. It transmits direct, no-lag signals to the MARTIN-DECKER full 360 gauge. The ball-bearing movement within the indicator gauge provides greater sensitivity, superior to friction-causing sleeve bearings! Greater accuracy also: 0.25 of 1% of full scale! THE MOBILE DIAPHRAGM IN THREE POSITIONS The secret of the diaphragm is the friction-free stroke. No prob lems of friction, wear or piston-rod corrosion sometimes encoun tered with cylinder-type pressure transformers.
