We also represent Suncor, a Canadian oil company which is North America's fifth largest energy company. Suncor's President and CEO, Steve Williams (bio below) will be in Washington on October 16 and would very much like to meet with Administrator Pruitt. The purpose of the meeting would be for Suncor to gain a better understanding of President Trump's regulatory priorities relating to energy and the environment. I believe that given Suncor's size and role in the energy sector in Canada and the United States, a meeting between Mr. Williams and Administrator Pruitt would allow for a very high level dialogue on these issues. While the bulk of Suncor's production of 700,000 barrels per day is from the oil sands in Alberta, Suncor also has offshore assets in Canada, the United Kingdom and Norway. Suncor also owns a 98,000 barrel per day refinery in Commerce City, Colorado, along with Canada's largest ethanol plant in Ontario. Please do not hesitate to let me know if I can provide any further information. I very much appreciate your consideration of our request. We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see Administrator Pruitt on October 16. 17cv1906 Sierra Club v. EPA ED_001523B_00003803-00001 Thank you. David DAVID H.
