Passes Western Caucus ESA Bill Package
Today, the House Committee on Natural Resources passed a package of Western Caucus bills to modernize the ESA.
This is a crucial step to update a broken ESA that has only a 2% success rate. The proposed changes will help recover hundreds of endangered species and ensure that the regulatory process will be unburdened.

Modernization of the ESA is one of the primary legislative priorities for the Western Caucus, as the current ESA has become weaponized by radical environmental groups and abused by federal bureaucrats for far too long. Western Caucus leaders in the House and Senate are pushing for meaningful updates to make the Act work like it was originally intended.

The Western Caucus will continue to fight and restore the ESA into a law that that saves species and ensuring their conservation, while unburdening thousands of farmers, ranches and people across the West that are imperiled by the current implementation of the Act.
