Attachments: 20180103135045342.pdf Bill, its Charles Ingebretson, and I'm delighted to be writing to you again at an EPA address. Congratulations on your confirmation. As you may have heard, I had the opportunity to visit with David Harlow in early December (David and I were first year associates together at Hunton in Richmond a long, long time ago, and it had been a long time since I'd visited with him). Being back on the fifth floor for a few minutes with David reminded me of the extraordinary scope and challenge of the issues on the OAR plate. Still not sure why you would want to do it again(l), but really glad you're there. A few months ago, I had the opportunity to join the consulting firm AJW, Inc, which does a variety of work in the energy and environment space, including providing management and policy consulting services to two trade associations: the Institute for Clean Air Companies (ICAC), composed of companies that provide monitoring, measurement and pollution control equipment for stationary sources; and the Mobile Emission Control Association (MECA), composed of companies manufacturing pollution control equipment for mobile sources. Several of the MECA members with advocacy interests are represented by the Advanced Engine Systems Institute (AESI). You would not be surprised to hear that both ICAC and AESI are very interested to hear your thoughts on priorities for the new year, so I'm writing with two requests, one on behalf of the AESI board of directors in late February/early March, and the second on behalf of ICAC for their annual Clean Air Summit in DC in early May. In the nearer term, executives from the AESI member companies will be in town the last week February. They would welcome the opportunity to meet with you on February 26th or March 1st. This would likely be a small group of folks (8 to 12) and might be a meeting that could be chaired by one of your senior staff to give you maximum flexibility. For the second "opportunity," ICAC is hosting its annual Clean Air Summit on May 9th and 10th. Attached is a formal letter of invitation from 1CAC's executive director, Clare Schulzki, At last year's conference, the group had the privilege of hearing from the Administrator, and separately from Jeff Holmstead, Andy Wheeler and Mandy Gunasekara. We again anticipate a group of about 60 attendees, almost all expert in stationary source controls, and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to hear your thoughts on the current OAR agenda. As Clare's invitation letter indicates, we would do everything we can to accommodate your schedule on the morning of May 9th or the afternoon of May 10th. Bill, thanks again for considering these two requests. Anything I can do to help your efforts, please don't hesitate to let me know. Best, Charles Sierra Club v.
