Lang III of Du Pont Engineering agree that a 2 fiber standard will mean the end of asbestos insulation in its current form and can be met only by substitution of other materials fiberglass chiefly developed to Dr. Zapp hopes that new mastics can be capture asbestos fibers and prevent them from becoming Page 2 June 6 1972 Asbestos Conference > June 2 1972 airborne If the standard is adopted the personnel surveillance necessary to document safe asbestos fiber levels will be so expensive that even the use of Nomex fabrics for insulation might be economically preferable The technical presentations by Drs Hubiak will be distributed later in NIOSH criteria document Reinhard Trochimowicz and writing with a copy of the WLS jic Attach ASBESTOS SEMINAR June 2 1972 8:45 a.m. 8:50 a.m. 9:05 m 9:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m. 11:00 a.m. 11:45 a.m. 1:00 p.m. 1:45 p.m. _ 2:00 p.m. 3:30 p.m. Introduction Types and Uses of Asbestos Health Effects of Exposure to Asbestos Changing Requirements under OSHA COFFEE BREAK Medical Surveillance of Asbestos Workers Surveillance of Working Environment | LUNCH Means of Dust Control Potential Substitution of Asbestos in Insulation .. _ Discussion of Topics Adjournment R.
