Attention: For Your Information Docket - Docket No. AR-226 Re: Information on Perfluorooctane Sulfonates and Related Compounds
Dear Sir or Madam:
This continues 3M's voluntary submissions of data on perfluorooctane sulfonates and related compounds, as part of our ongoing dialogue with EPA regarding fluorochemicals. Enclosed you will find the following supplement to the Two-Generation Reproduction Study of Ammonium Perfluorooctanoate in Rats submitted previously to the docket on April 2, 2002: Final Report, Protocol 418-020, Argus Research, Charles River Laboratories, May 1, 2002.

The enclosed document describes in detail the covariance data from the two-generation reproduction/developmental study with ammonium perfluorooctanoate. This analysis was undertaken in an attempt to understand the degree to which certain effects seen in the FI generation (delayed sexual maturation, post-lactational mortality, and increased estrous cycles) could be explained by either gestational age/maturity or body weight of the animals.
