uitt Mfq Summit Invite 31Mav2017.pdf
Administrator Pruitt,
We will have over 400 manufacturers assembled in Washington on June 20 and 21 for our Manufacturing Summit and we hope that you will be able to join us. This would be a great opportunity to highlight the progress that the President and you are making to address the regulatory burden that manufacturers face and how the EPA is focused on improving the environment without hindering economic growth. I have attached an invitation to this note that has been sent to your office for your reference.
I hope you will be available to join us.
Best,
Jay

Dear Administrator Pruitt:
On behalf of the 14,000 members of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), I cordially invite you to address the manufacturing community's leading representatives at the NAM's Manufacturing Summit. Our Summit is scheduled for June 20-21 at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, D.C. We invite you to provide the keynote address at our lunch on Wednesday, June 21, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
We appreciate your continued, strong focus on the policies needed to create jobs and welcomes your comments and vision on the future of manufacturing in America, and how the Environmental Protection Agency under your leadership can be a partner in achieving these goals. Specifically, our members would be interested in your perspective on how the Agency is planning to address many of the major regulations issued by the prior Administration that have inhibited our ability to compete. Our member companies look forward to hearing how they can work with the Administration to promote policies that positively impact manufacturing.
Our format calls for 15-20 minutes of remarks followed by questions and answers from our audience. Attendance for this event is likely to exceed 400 NAM members, which include leading manufacturers from across the country. The session will be closed to the press and off the record. If you prefer to have press present, we are more than happy to accommodate your request.
Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you can attend. If your staff has any questions, they can contact NAM Director of Public Affairs and Member Engagement Candice Austin at (202) 637-3122. Candice will contact your office to follow up on this request.
Thank you for considering this invitation. I look forward to continue working closely on our many shared goals.
With all best wishes, I remain,
Sincerely,
Leading Innovation. Creating Opportunity. Pursuing Progress.
