Welcome and introduction Shared priorities discussion
o What is U.S. EPA working on where the Chamber can assist? Low hanging/early wins:
o Mobilizing private capital on modernizing water infrastructure Convening the investment and water communities Collaborating on key water system development issues including utility governance, expanding the network of WIFIA participants, and other financing and technical solutions Engaging local Chambers to develop a pipeline of bankable projects Aligning funding and capacity solutions for rural communities (working with USDA, RCAP, local Chambers and others) and the role of the private sector
o Promoting the export of U.S. water technologies products and services o Catalyzing technology innovation in the water-energy nexus, including the testbed
network concept o Developing flexible sustainable solutions working with communities and utilities -
permit streamlining, CCR, conduit theory, effluent guidelines, nutrients, PFOS/PFOA, WOTUS, etc. o Capacity building/workforce development - technical and skills issues for water operators and other technical and trade professions Next steps
