However, we need to make you all aware he has to go out on travel June 30th and we do not yet know what time of day he will leave as this is White House travel that we are not involved in.

This is the rescheduled spring meeting of the board of directors of the NMA. At this meeting, members will be updated on policy and regulatory issues impacting the membership and discuss several operating issues. Original meeting in March was cancelled due to COVID-19. Tuesday, June 30 - NMA's request is for the Deputy Secretary to speak at the beginning of the board meeting on Tuesday, June 30 at 1 p.m. (EST).

NMA litigation where DOI is a party:
NMA challenge to the Office of Natural Resource Revenue's 2016 coal valuation regulations, 81Fed. Reg. 43338 (July 1, 2016) --filed in the Wyoming District Court on June 12, 2019.
NMA intervened in support of DOI in a still ongoing 2009 challenge to two BLM rules (1) the 2003 Mill Site Rule, 68 Fed. Reg.61,046, (October 24, 2003); and (2) the 2008 Mining Claim Rule, 73 Fed. Reg. 73,789 (December 4, 2008) -- oral argument held in Oct. 2017 but still awaiting decision.
NMA does not maintain a list of member companies' pending permits so it is possible that one or more companies may be awaiting permit decisions from Interior.
