EPA Public Hearing in Chicago on Proposal
to Rep ace the Clean Power Plan
Dear Mandy,
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a public hearing on its recently proposed Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) rule replacement of the Clean Power Plan for greenhouse gas emissions from existing electric generating units. The hearing will be Monday October 1, 2018, from 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. (local time) in:
Chicago, Illinois - Lake Michigan Room of the Ralph Metcalfe Federal Building, 77 West Jackson Boulevard. Go to Visiting EPA's Region 5 Office on the EPA website for directions, transportation and parking information.
Each commenter will have five minutes to provide oral testimony. Oral comments and supporting information presented at the public hearing will be considered with the same weight as written statements and supporting information submitted during the comment period.
EPA encourages advance registration for speaking at the hearing. The registration form is available on the EPA website at https://www.epa.gov/stationary-sources-air-pollution/forms/affordable-cleanenergy-rule-proposal-public-hearing or notify Adrian Gates at (919) 541-4860 or gates.adrian@epa.gov.
The last day to pre-register is September 24, 2018.
Please note the deadline for submitting written comments on the proposed regulation has been changed to October 31, 2018. Comments should be identified by Docket number EPA--HQ--OAR2017-0355 and submitted online at https://www.regulations.gov/.
