Dear Sir/Madam:
In July of 2006 3M notified the EPA that preliminary data had been received from a study suggesting an effect of perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorohexanesulfonate (PFHS) on body weight, food consumption, and serum cholesterol in 15% dietary fat fed E3 Leiden transgenic mice in vivo. The final report for this study is enclosed.
If there are questions, or if additional information is needed, please contact me at (651-737 1374).
Sincerely,
Deanna J. Luebker, MS, PhD 3M TSCA 8(e) Coordinator
