This came via Linkedln. Also, I don't have a formal invite, but the organizers of CEEA would love him to come speak in Banff in August. He'll be familiar with the conference from his previous attendance. Mr. Secretary, Congratulations first of all, I was so inspired with your talk at the Senate hearings on your birthday! What a refreshing change to have an industry expert and business man, and an entrepreneur to boot, in charge. I know you are in Houston today for CERA WEEK, thank you. This conference is more about the businesses and trade association, with an admission price I might add in the multiple $1000! Nothing wrong with a profit for the organizers.... but I am requesting that you address our 50,000 participants at OTC 2025 who basically pay a very nominal cost, or are attending for 'free' as an exhibitor, guest, student, or educator. We asked before confirmation hearings, and you deferred, and now with that behind you, I am requesting you speak at our event. We understand your busy schedule, and can work around whichever day is best for you. We also have the ability to be flexible, should you have to make a change at the last minute. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak directly to you and further elaborate. (I also have an 'ask' via one of your former colleagues Ron Gusek for a connection , as I am not sure how quickly this email will take to reach your desk...). Sierra Club v. We are the men and women who bring new ideas and technologies safely and in an environmentally friendly manner to profitably extract resources for the benefit of all Americans. An important, and absolutely critical element for success is proper policy, and a dash of enthusiasm is good for extra points! We would like for you to articulate your policy and vision for U.S. energy. The organizers are everyday working men and women who volunteer time and energy to educate themselves and the public. We have a 56 year track record and would be honored with your participation. https://2025.otcnet.org/ Sincerely, Art Schroeder **********************************************"********************** This message does not originate from a known Department of Energy email system.
