Thanks for trying to get the Administrator here! Attached is an updated agenda. We have 9:15 - 10 AM on Friday, Dec 1st as the time slot for the Administrator. On the agenda we have EPA Regional Administrator Jim Gulliford as the "placeholder" per Tate's request to keep things quiet at this point. If possible, we would appreciate the Administrator spending some time with our Statewide Board of Directors (10 people) before or after his comments to the General Assembly. As I've mentioned to Tate, the event is at the West Des Moines Sheraton. Will Administrator Pruitt and staff require rooms at that hotel or will you be securing accommodations elsewhere? Please let me know what additional information you require from me. We were wondering what your thoughts might be on having your office invite newly appointed Region 7 EPA Administrator Jim Gulliford to attend the meeting on Friday to hear Administrator Pruitt's remarks? Perhaps we could use Mr. Gulliford as the "place holder" on the schedule so as not to draw attention to the gap in the agenda? Please let me know your thoughts. Also, is your team 100% committed or are we still in the 50/50 range of this happening? Just curious! Thanks, KC 17cv01906 Sierra Club v. The next 50 years will see electric cooperatives at the center of the world's greatest revolution-the movementfrom centralizedfossil based power to distributed renewable power and to the world where the only energy is electricity. Advances in material science and cell-less biology drive new forms of alternative energy production and rapid advances in storage and speed transform the way people live and work. It's a world of autonomus transportation, droids and robots performing all physical work and 24/7 degree less education. What is rural and urban becomes blurred as humans for the first time in recorded history maximize their true potential in record numbers and electric cooperatives will be the major driver in this revolution. 2:45 p.m. Break 3:00 p.m. The Future of Safety: Richard Hawk, Make Safety Fun During this insightful presentation, Richard Hawk shares what is on the horizon for the safety field and how you and your cooperative can take advantage of emerging trends.
