Hi Leila,
Thanks again for reaching out last week regarding our invitation to Secretary Zinke for the January CEO meeting in Arizona. Again, we completely understand the scheduling conflict, and are grateful for your consideration. In terms of asking Vincent DeVito to stand in for the Secretary in January, we've decided to look for other opportunities in the very near future--possibly in conjunction with our March CEO conference in Washington--to include both Vince and the Secretary if at all possible. As you well know, our industry continues to have a number of important issues on the DOI radar screen, including federal lands, siting of critical energy infrastructure and tribal rights-of-way, among many others. Naturally we look forward to working with the entire department, all the way up to Secretary Zinke, on all of these matters. As the new year approaches, let's continue to be in touch as we look for venues to connect our CEO community with the Secretary and his senior leadership team.
