Enesta Jones:
I spoke with you in recent years when I was covering the EPA for McClatchy Newspapers. I'm now in a different position, as director of training for the National Press Foundation, a Washington-based joumalism nonprofit.
Our organization brings together 20 fellows from around the country for an intensive, four-day workshop on a specific topic. In June, we are doing a program on the environment and changing environmental regulations. We'll be looking at the main issues at play, talk about which regulations are being changed and why, discuss the political mood in Congress for the changes, and so forth. The program is underwritten by the Walton Family Foundation, although the National Press Foundation makes the decisions on speakers and topics that will be covered.
Our fellows will be selected later this month, but they typically are print, broadcast and online reporters from large and small news organizations around the country. Our speakers will be academic, journalistic, think tank, advocacy and governmental experts.
All our sessions are on-the-record, and we post audio and other information from them as a resource for other journalists. The examples here are of government officials in the past year who have spoken at our programs (you can click among STORY | AUDIO | VIDEO | SLIDES to see the various elements):

We would love to have Commissioner Pruitt come talk about his vision for the EPA and environmental policy. This would be a session of either 60 or 75 minutes, with a mixture of presentation and Q&A with 20 reporters who are actively covering these issues. The program is being held June 18-21, and I can work around his schedule if there is a time that works for him.
I'm wondering who I would go to see if this is a possibility. Could you help me out with this, or direct me to the proper press person or scheduling person in the administrator's office?
Thanks so much, Chris Adams Director of Training National Press Foundation 202-663-7283
