December 12 ACCF Salon with EPA Admin. Scott Pruitt.pdf
Legislative Affairs -
On Dec 6 (disregard Dec 12 on the attached), the Administrator will be joining the American Council for Capital Formation for one of their Salon nights at the Florida House. Attached is a rundown on generally how the night will run. The Administrator will lead a roundtable from 78PM.
Mark Bloomfield and Drew Bond, copied here, are organizing the event. They are interested in inviting Congressional Democrats who we think would add to the discussion. The evenings are typically bipartisan events.
Could you provide them with some suggestions and/or set up a time to discuss with them based on topic?
Thank you!

ACCF Economic Policy Evening with EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt
The ACCF and ACCF Center for Policy Research will host its 230 th Salon evening with EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt on Tuesday, December 12 at the Florida House on Capitol Hill (1 Second Street, NE). The topic will be "EPA's Agenda Today."
The evening will consist of two parts: a roundtable discussion from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and a dinner conversation from 8:00 pm to 9:15 pm. Administrator Scott Pruitt will be with us for the roundtable discussion and help lead our discussion. At dinner, we will shift to a Congressional perspective with participating Senators and Congr essmen being our discussion leaders. Please see Washington's Last Salon for more specifics and background and Bipartisan Congressional Testimonials on our Salon evenings.
What makes our Salon evenings unique is we have a non -partisan conversation on public policy challenges with policy -makers, opinion shapers, and the b usiness community. This year, we hosted Salons with Energy Secretary Rick Perry on "Accelerating Energy Innovation in America," with Democratic and Republican Members of the House Ways & Means and Finance Committees on "Tax Reform in 2017," with Congressbnal leaders on "Improving the Regulatory System," with the Mexican Ambassador on "Renegotiating NAFTA," and with Republican and Democratic Members of Congress of all persuasion on "President Trump's Economic Agenda."
Our Salons typically include a bipartisan selection of five Members of Congress, five prominent journalists, editorialists and reporters, and twenty to thirty business executives from companies and trade associations. Note, these Evenings are off-the-record and we have never had a leak in the prior 229 Salons.
We have the following journalists attending: Amy Harder, one of the best energy reporters, now at Axios; Lisa Friedman, who covers energy issues for the New York Times; and Tim Puko, Wall Street Journal's new, smart, young energy reporter Ethan Zindler, the head of research for North America at Bloomberg just confirmed he will be with us, as well. We're currently recruiting our Members of Congress, experts on environmental policy, and business participants.
Please do not hesitate to let Mark Bloomfield know if you have questions or suggestions for our
230th gathering of "
." Mark can be reached
