G arlock has the experience, the technology and the products to help your com pany meet these and other im portant goals, efficiently and cost-effectively.
Com ply with Clean Air Act C lean A ir Act regulations have set tough standards for fugitive V.O .C. (volatile organic com pound) emissions. Early com pliance will elim inate the headaches and costs o f m ore frequent m andatory follow -up inspections, quality improvement programs and equipm ent replacem ent
G ariack packings, gasketing m aterials and seals can help you bring defective valves, pum ps, flanges and other process equipm ent into com pliance faster and more costeffectively by using a Total Sealing Approach instead of the valve-by-valve o r flange-byflange method.
Elim inate Asbestos G ariack took the lead in the asbestos-free m arket alm ost 20 years ago. Today, G arlock custom ers throughout the world are re placing asbestos w ith a minim um of d ifficulty, because our tim e-tested asbestosfree products are measurably superior in perform ance.
Increase Operating Efficiency Successful com panies will be those who seize every opportunity to gat the beat from th eir capital equipm ent, labor and resources, w hile operating within sound environmental guidelines.
G arlock asbestos-free sealing products offer long service life, low maintenance and superi or design to help keep your operation up and running in the widest range o f process applications, tem peratures and pressures.
in addition, G arlock products enable you to bring equipm ent Into com pliance through econom ical retrofitting. Capital costs associated with parts replacem ent are elim inated or significantly reduced.
A leak tight system and reduced process emissions mean less product loss and less energy expended. W ith Garlock asbestosfree products, you can realize significant savings and com ply with Clean A ir A ct and EPA regulations.
The demands of modem applications make the Choice of dm right sealing product an important consideration, both in die design of new equipment and In choosing the new products, which will replace those no longer suitable.
This brochure is intended to give you some typical examples of appropriate applications, but is not intended to be a warranty of performance All specific uses of sealing products require independent study and specific evaluation for suitability. Garlock will provide you with the advice of its sealing product engineers, who will give you specific application recommendations.
Please consult us. We are ready to help you make the right choice. Choosing the wrong sealing product can result in property damage and/or serious personal injury. Oo not rely on the general criteria, which may not suit your application as well as one which Garlock can help you to choose. Reliability and service to our customers, is what the Garlock name means.
Let us help you to choose the right product for your application.

ENVELON* Gasketing Style 3565
ENVELON gasketing* combines a soft deformable GYLON outside with a stable pressure and crush resistant GYLON interior. This unique process repcesents a technological break through for chemical sealing applications.
The soft compressible exterior layers are sintered directly to a pure PTFE GYLON interior without use of adhesives. The direct PTFE sintering eliminates any possible leak paths or adhesive contamination problems while providing excellent sealing.
ENVELON Style 3565 is an excellent gasket for worn, scarred, chipped, pitted or warped flanges. The soft deform able outer layers conform to flange irregularities easier than harder conventional materials. The low bolt loading properties excel on glass-lined pipe and vessels, exotic metals. PVC, fiberglass and fiber cast piping.
Style 3565 is an improvement over conventional PTFE and PTFE envelope gaskets. Now the soft deformable exterior promotes a seal at low bolt loads and deforms easily to fill ir regularities on the flange surfaces. The stable blue-colored im enor is chemically inert, eliminates traditional cold flow and provides excellent pressure resistance. ENVELON gasketing will replace slit, milled, formed shield and double-jacketed envelope gaskets-
