8-hour Personnel TWL VCM Monitoring Data - Summary for September, 1982
This report is a summary of 92 eight-hour TWA Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) monitoring samples, taken by carbon tube and pump, for the month of September, 1982.
I. Seventy-one (71) samples (77.2%) were below .5 ppm VCM, 6 samples (6.5%) were from .51 to 1.0 ppm, and 15 samples (16.3%) were over 1.0 ppm. This was a significant decrease from the 28.9% over 1.0 ppm in August.
II. The job categories that were over 1.0 ppm VCM were:
1. Shift production foremen
2. Polymer Operators
3. Shift Laborers
4. Shift Electricians
5. Shift Mechanics
III. The overall plant average decreased from 1.59 to 1.50 ppm.
