Thank you for convening the Critical Minerals Roundtable to discuss the growing need for mineral commodities and the challenges to mineral development in the United States. Our members were very impressed with the team you have assembled to support your leadership and to advance President Trump's vision and agenda for growing the economy and creating high-wage jobs. It was clear from the questions posed by your team that they came to the discussion well-prepared and with a real sense of purpose.
I trust the information and insights we shared during the Roundtable provided an actionable course for moving forward to shape policies that will allow the U.S. mining industry to perform to its full potential for the benefit of the nation. As we look across the President's policy agenda for manufacturing, infrastructure, defense and energy, U.S. mining serves an indispensable role at the front-end of the supply chain.
We fully understand that pressing matters arising last week precluded your participation as originally planned. We are grateful for your acceptance of our invitation to address the National Mining Association's membership on October 3 in Washington, D.C.
