As appropriate, API has intervened in proceedings at FERC and DOE. Below details two current proceedings for which API has filed amicus briefs:
On 10/28/24, API led an amicus brief with AXPC, CLNG, NGSA, LNG allies, IPAA, TXOGA, in support of the Next Decade/Rio Grande LNG petition for rehearing in Case nos. 23-1174 and 23-1175, City of Port Isabel, et al v. FERC, in the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. This petition is still pending.

On 4/20/24, API filed an amicus brief in support of the group of 16 State AGs' request for a preliminary injunction challenging the LNG pause in the United States District Court for the Western District of LA in Case 2:24-cv-00406-JDC-TPL, Louisiana, et al v. Biden, et al. On 7/1/24, the Western District of LA granted the P.I. On 8/5/24, the case was appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit in Case 24-30489, State ofLouisiana v. Biden. That appeal is in abeyance until 4/1/2025. No sponsors.
