Here is the panel prior to the Secretary's panel.
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Executive Roundtable Panel Discussion I: Bringing Education Back to the
States
In January, the Nation's Report Card was released, and the results speak for themselves: we need a new
direction for America's education system. Rather than continuing along a path that is failing our
students, it's time to consider big, bold reforms to the education system. Education policy belongs to
the states and Republican governors are thrilled to have a leader back in the White House who
understands that. Republican governors across this country have been leading the way on education by
empowering parents, putting a greater focus on literacy and civic education, expanding investments in
workforce training, providing choice to families on what school is best for their child, and retaining,
recruiting, and paying highly qualified teachers. The panel will discuss how the Trump Administration is
going to work with Republican governors to stay true to their commitment to prioritize students over
bureaucrats and return education back to the states.

Governor Tate Reeves, Mississippi (moderator)
