STEP Meeting 2017 Reframing Our Environmental Future

The ongoing political changes in the United States are raising critical questions about the future of how we carry out and measure the effectiveness of our nation's system of environmental laws and regulations. As we look at our complex system and its many interconnected layers, stakeholders of all types need to weigh in and answer the question - "what is your role in the new model of environmental cooperative federalism?" and "what part will you play?" ECOS STEP is a uniquely interactive educational forum. Roundtable participants are discussion leaders, and the purpose of each session is to provide a forum for state officials, federal governmental agencies, business and industry, nonprofits, and others to offer their unique perspectives on addressing priority and/or emerging environmental issues. Discussions will focus on ECOS' Cooperative Federalism 2.0 paper, released June 12, 2017. This paper will provide a common point of discussion and consideration and help connect the day.
Please note that registration, continental breakfast, and all sessions are in the UDC/Cathollc Room. Lunch and the evening reception will be served in the Georgetown Room.
